Re: 002 vs 003. I know its been covered countless times.

Do i need to be rooted to check and what tools do I need?

Probably gonna root anyway because the phone isnt activated at the moment so I have all the time in the world to do my first root.

You like the raise buttons and pixels, AND problem almost soved for 30fps on the 003... keep the 003...

You're welcome... lol

Re: What is the real difference between 002 / 003

FWIW, my novatec also does not have any purple hue...nor does my wife's.
I keep seeing the generalization made that most/or all the Novatec screens have that problem.....not exactly accurate.

I know all that and thats why I want the 003. But man the screen on the 002 even though its not as deep black or as bright white, the colors on the 002 look natural an not at all tainted.

Im confused...so people with the 001 version and the 002 version are out of luck when it comes to the 30 fps issue getting solved? Will there be a fix for our phones as well or are we just out of luck because we didn't wait for these bugs to be worked out?

Re: 002 vs 003. I know its been covered countless times.

I really could care less which version I get in August...most likely it will be 03 or a newer 04...the screen is a screen...yeah the first gen is nicer...but really all I really want is the phone. People may say different...but I don't get all bent out of shape over how the colors are. I'm used to my LCD monitors here at home...they have the ghosty white effect..they're not top of the line either. I think of it as a upgrade in a way...maybe HTC found something wrong with the Samsung displays...and moved to another company...maybe Samsung couldn't keep up..either way its a phone...they all the do the same thing...which is cell calling, data and video...thats all that matters to me.

Give it some time...They just now figured out the Epson screen fix, and that's not even 100% yet. Who knows what they will come up with for the Novatecs.

Honestly, if someone hadn't told me I was being capped at 30fps, I'd never know, and really, I still can't tell. Everything I watch is 24-30fps anyway. I really wouldn't worry about it too much...just my 2 cents...

Great point. I bet more than half the people up in arms about the 30fps only now because they saw a benchmark or someone else complaining about it.

That said, I don't need a bunch of people clamoring all over me to get defensive and explain to me how they DO notice the difference, I did not say everyone.

My theory is youll get rid of one and forget all about the issues when you dont have two sitting side by side. Seriously you will get used to whatever you chose.
