I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of mine. Starting up my phone around business people seems unprofessional with the kiddie sounds it makes when the 4G splash screen is happening. Real hard to be surreptitious. I must be using the wrong search terms at XDA

Have you flashed a custom ROM yet? If you have, then flash this zip like you would a ROM, if not then you have to be rooted using part 1 or part 2 of Toast's method since you need a custom recovery console to flash zips

I just flashed damage control. How are you diggin it? I have to admit that sound was getting on my nerves. As much as I flash I had to plug headphones in to avoid that sound. That or my fellow office peeps would have started a mutiny.

yeah i did, so just go into recovery and flash it off the sd right???

could i just add a sound in there and rename it and flash it and it would work or is that a no?? Cuz if so I wanna add the "droid" sound lol
