my questions is why did sprint give him this test device to review when he doesnt even know the basics about technology!

that's the first evo video I couldn't make it all the way through. made it to almost 3 minutes and couldn't deal with it any more.

He went out of his way to sign up with sprint to make a review for a phone which he don't clearly know nothing about.

If he is a reviewer and Sprint had lend one to him, this review should have been done prior to the release date. Not in the middle of the game.

His name is Chris Pirillo...he works out of his home office and makes money via blogging, adsense...reviews and sponsors...he does quiet will with it actually. Now on this video I had to disagree with Mr. Pirillo. At the beginning of the video he said he wasn't comparing the Evo 4G to the Iphone....but he really did.

As he is a Iphone user, and is used to the Iphone layout...trying something new and different than the Iphone's OS just seems to complex. The most common things he was getting fustrated over...which led to me relizing he was comparing the so called review against the Iphone was how he compared the landscape to portriat animation...and the unlock screen...and the wifi turn on and off...all those in the Iphone OS are simple, and basic. The Icon to turn Wifi on with the Evo is straight forward, it just turns it on. I can't believe he though that it would magically log onto a network. This is what happens to people that get used to different OS's. When it comes to Iphone users comparing phones to the Iphone, they will always side with what they are comfortable with...which for Chris is the Iphone. It bugged me how he said he wasn't comparing the Evo and Iphone...but he did...and it showed...

The Iphone OS is simple and to the point, thats how apple built it. Any other OS than that will be different...thats a proven fact. It's really a personal preference to what you like...thats how I look at it. I went with Windows Mobile and have now grown to like Android. It does pretty much everything I ask it to do. I really think Chris should have not put this video on youtube, because all it shows is negitive remarks about the phone...his con's outweighted the Pros...he got fustrated because it wasn't simple..and for that he bashed the Evo...

I made it through the video and by then end just couldn't believe this "official" review. He is the worst reviewer I have ever seen of any product....even the people that fumble through things they literally have no idea about. He is so biased that the entire video is just cluttered with disdain. This is why iPhone users make me mad, because they can't understand how to use a simple phone like the Evo with Android.

all those with youtube accounts should vote this video down into oblivion.

i like apple products as much as the next person, but theres a reason why i use android as a phone and not the iphone. (cost, crappy network, and lack of customization)

The way he squeals and his voice accelerates reminds me of a spoiled child who has had everything handed to him and doesn't know how to handle anything.

Glad someone watched his "review" and decided not to buy the device. (Yes, I know it was prob just another Fruit Fan) Neither he nor they have any business owning/using/reviewing/touching

the phone.

this is one of the worst reviews i have ever seen. you obviously havent used the phone much since all the stock customizations are there. you said this is your 2nd android device and yet you still dont know how to unlock the screen? this feature has been built into EVERY android device. you say that the PC36100 is cryptic? this phone is not for every user, its for people ith half a brain and know how to operate a smartphone. you obviously dont know the concept of a toggle switch either.

@nguyenbryan - You're a moron. What part of "first impressions" did you not quite get? Nowhere in here did I mention the word "review."

i wanted to reply with: @lockergnome oh, a review is supposed to be from someone knowledgeable and knows how to use the device in question. my mistake.
