Re: Question reguarding ATK

I personally do not use a task killer but instead disable programs on start up. Startup Cleaner 2.0.

If you do not recognize what it is then leave it alone. Only disable what you know.

I disabled startup on things such a Amazon MP3, voice dailer, FM Radio, Facebook, Flickr, Google Talk Service, Peep, Sprint system apps, etc for the basics.

I dont believe there is a difference. I think the Pro verison is more of a donation verison rather than paid.

Link to another forum. A MUST READ!!

Just because you read something online, it doesn't mean it is true.

ANY program can have a memory leak. Just because this is Android, it doesn't mean it is magically better than Windows. The EVO allows you to access tasks and kill them manually with the default software. If task killing was completely unnecessary, then this wouldn't be included.

Memory leak? What is this, Windows Mobile? Android platform is very nicely managed by most developers through their code. There is huge differences between good structured code and bad, and most apps are good.

From what I've read about that program, it just kills the task after the phone starts. It doesn't actually prevent the program from launching. It can increase your boot time.
