Open the talk go to menu > settings > uncheck automatically sign in. Then after that go back to your buddy list hit menu > more > sign out.

It wont' sign back in until you open the program.

Re: 17 Hours 9 Minutes 28 Seconds.

So for the first time I left my WiFi on with the sleep set to never sleep... Holy shit... I know people say it saved their battery life or whatever but being on all night the battery dropped less than 2%, it's been running and being used for over 14 hours now and I'm at 69%. Running fring and my stuff is updating every hour, mail is being instantly pushed. I had been hearing about leaving wifi on but didn't think it would help THIS much!

Re: 17 Hours 9 Minutes 28 Seconds.

So here are some shots of my phone after heavy use almost 2 hours "on time" with wifi and bluetooth on for over 8 hours. This is what I call battery life. I did a lot of txt about hour of calling some gps some bluetooth media streaming into my stereo and some other crap. I did the preferred network once I saw my time without a signal was at 15 and I am not using ATK or a CPU scaler. I did set Wifi to never sleep. I also did some 4g about 20 mins.

Installed aCar app and messed with it for a while.

Only thing I disabled was that data always on button and GPS and I don't even notice that it's switched off. It's always there when I need it. The GPS can be switched on if I need to know exactly where I am but most of the time the cell tower triangulation works just fine for weather updates and my rainy days location etc.

Battery life issue? LOL.

EDIT: And last night I disabled google talk since I have never used it...From last night to today MAJOR increase in battery life so it might just be that app but I was still getting around 12+ hours with the same kinds of usage
disabling the data always on mess with receiving texts n calls?

Nah, the only thing it does it not automatically sync your social network stuff like twitter and facebook. But it has no affect on calls or texts.

I'm not saying the phone last longer with wifi on but you can go into wifi settings and tell it to never sleep which someone said gave them much better battery and others confirmed. I never used wifi in the past cause it drianed the battery like a hot potato but on this phone it used about the same amount of battery as bluetooth from what I've seen.

Re: 17 Hours 9 Minutes 28 Seconds.

Mine has gradually gotten better everyday. I dont even charge during the day once I pull it off the charger in the morning and im getting 14-15 hours with pretty heavy use.
