17 Hours 9 Minutes 28 Seconds.

And I still have over 50% of my battery left. Talked for about an hour today. Sent numerous emails and received about 30 text messages, along with browsing the internet for about 15 minutes and using tapatalk a bunch. Updated weather radar a bunch of times. Installed aCar app and messed with it for a while.

Only thing I disabled was that data always on button and GPS and I don't even notice that it's switched off. It's always there when I need it. The GPS can be switched on if I need to know exactly where I am but most of the time the cell tower triangulation works just fine for weather updates and my rainy days location etc.

Battery life issue? LOL.

EDIT: And last night I disabled google talk since I have never used it...From last night to today MAJOR increase in battery life so it might just be that app but I was still getting around 12+ hours with the same kinds of usage

Soooo whats the deal with these batteries? I haven't hacked my phone, tuned it, or anything, and it went from getting 7 hours if I was lucky, to well over 15 hours.

Did these batteries need some charging/killing cycles to get this way better life time?

This is the 2nd day in a row of normal use and I'm seeing crazy nice battery times. 15+ hours and still have half battery.

Anyone willing to leave their phone playing music all night/day to see how much batter life it has as a music player?

Different things... if you have radios on that are not in use (4G, BT) they will consume some power since they'll be constantly scanning (especially the 4G radio)... also signal variations on your 3G/RTT1X could cause elevated battery drainage.

There is also the 'user' element: it depends on how you use your phone through the day as well as any running programs.

i always get through the day with moderate use. light use takes me to the 30+ hour mark. i never really experienced the crazy 4 hour light use drain that some people were experiencing, but i am noticing a dramatic increase over the past couple weeks. I think this is mostly attributed to learning how android works, what settings save battery and what drains battery... Plus, we naturally use our new toys more during the first couple of days.

We should all post screenshots like the one above, but i'm curious to see the awake/uptime screen too. I have my idea of light use and i'm sure that differs or complies with others.

I know this. I changed no apps, kept bt, wifi, and 4g off (as I always do since using it around here is pointless) and had no changes in really the past 3-4 days. Same usage all these days, but the past 2 days have had way more life. Just wondering if it was just me or if others are seeing the same. It has to be some kind of placebo effect on myself.

Also how do you get to that screen that is posted above?

What did you use to disable google talk? No matter what I have done, it seems to alway pop back on. Thanks.
