Re: Anyone wish they DIDN'T buy an Evo?

As soon as I tried the store demo and saw how choppy it was just scrolling through the app list (later found to be due to 30FPS limitation), I canceled my purchase. Since then, the EVO has just been a laundry list of letdowns - glass separation, grounding/capacitance issues, insanely low 720p recording bitrate, battery issues up the wazoo, earpiece issues, choppy gaming, the list goes on. Granted some of these issues are related to manufacturing batch, but it's still enough for me to write this phone off.

The Galaxy S' screen & CPU run circles around the EVO, and with the Sprint-branded Pro spotted yesterday, it can't be too far from launch.

Thank goodness I didn't read your post until after I got my EVO. Today makes a week since I've had it and I have not put in down since. Easily the most impressive piece of technology available today. Android blows Windows to smitherines and I am..errr... was a Windows diehard -never used Android and was initially pissed that we didn't get the HD2; turned out to be a tremendous blessing in disguise. If the Samsung Galaxy S is anything near to prior Samsung phones like - the Moment, then they can keep it, to each his own. What makes you think that the Galaxy S would run circles around the EVO. I hope this isn't along the same lines of the Instinct running circles around the Iphone if you get my drift. I hear people suggesting that the issues will be fixed in the near future with software updates. All I got to ask is: you mean to tell me that it gets even better? Cant wait!
