Believe me texting won't be an issue. It may not be as fast as using a hardware keyboard, but I am able to type on the landscape virtual keyboard very fast. Thanks to the large screen you should have no trouble at all typing.

Re: How is the speaker/speakerphone?

It gets the job done. As others have said, it's better than some / most, but nothing compares to the tp2's speaker, it was simply in a class of it's own.

I agree with most, It's good and you won't complain about it, but it's not the best. BTW the TP2 speakerphone was specifically designed for conference calls, so there is no doubt that it would trump any other speakerphone out there.

Re: How is the speaker/speakerphone?

I never thought I'd be happy without a hardware keyboard too, but it's actually pretty easy to type on the EVO, especially in landscape mode. It's much easier to text while driving too, since it does voice to text quite well.

I was getting ready to scold you then finished reading your sentence. Yes I'm guilty of using the voice to text while in the car myself, and it's sooo helpfull.

I agree, the only thing better than the TP2's speakerphone would probably be talking with the person face to face.

Haha! I was about to do the same thing! Voice to text DEFINITELY sounds nice. I'll be looking for that.

Re: How is the speaker/speakerphone?

Okay, I'll give it a go, I'm just used to typing without the need to look at the buttons. I'm sure it won't be too hard.

The voice to text uses the google servers so you have to have data service available when using it, but because of this it's more accurate and processes faster than the phone could.
