What ****s Ok call them again and tell them you just noticed that when you plug in the EVO the screen becomes very unresponsive. They gave me the same BS (3rd evo on the way keeping my fingers crossed!) called tech support told them my real issue and that the screen was unresponsive. Tell them you just noticed this.

1st EVO Screen was lifting very bad light leakage from all four buttons
2nd EVO screen is better but still not perfect on the bottom right lifting a tab and there was a scratch on it on the side next to the screen out of box and the battery cover doesn't fit flush.

God willing I'll get a perfect 3rd one!

That's bullshit. I have notes all over my account from web chat and phone support. Now I have an email from Corporate telling me to return my phone to Radio Shack. I still couldn't get them to admit a problem in the email though.

Re: Light Leakage.. Glass Lifting

i talked to best buy on this issue. walked in showed them the leak of light and sicne they were out of stock got me on the replacement list and will be giving me a call when they get more in. upon talking further with the rep they have the power to get a new one ordered at any best buy.... so before the 4th comes i would get those problem fixed and get a new one if you have the issue and purchased through best buy

Re: Light Leakage.. Glass Lifting

I would get a replacement if I were you. I'd be pissed if my screen was coming up. It's a defect and would fall under the warranty. LuckilyI have had zero problems with my evo. My battery even lasts up to 7 hours with heavy use, and all day with regular use. Sorry to all you evo owners that got a crappy handset. Hopefully the next one will work out for you. It's such an awesome phone.

Re: Light Leakage.. Glass Lifting

I put a case on the phone...problem solved. Seems to be purely cosmetic for my phone.

i got it replaced since there is no glue or tape that will allow over time condensation to get into the device and corrode the internals as well as possibly trip the water damage indicators inside the phone.

Re: Light Leakage.. Glass Lifting

I got the run around between a sprint repair center, the sprint store I bought the phone from, and several sprint reps over the phone. I ended up with a new EVO, $50.00 credit on my acct, and 20% discount. (yeah, I know I'm a little late to the party with the discount) I'm happy again. Just gotta get this ota update thing off my phone so I can ROOT!
