to be fair, your situation is just as questionable. i'd even go as far as to say it's less likely for someone to come away unscathed when dropping 5ft up (twice) and face first. Glass screens are known to crack when dropped face down on hard surfaces.

lol Its funny that everyone thinks I'm lying. I'll post pics of the carpet and the direction it dropped. Bottom right of the screen is shattered and theres like one big crack all the way up to the top of the screen.

I find it hard to believe, but, not unbelievable. If you dropped it and it hit in just the right spot its feasible. People can drop diamonds and if they hit the right spot they will shatter. So if your screen is bad, im sorry that sucks, you should have a case on it. Good luck.

I found the perfect case for mine so I don't have to worry about this ever again... It takes some getting used to as the tactile feedback from the device is a bit umm... well, muffled but overall I am very happy with it.

Only thing that I had to do was burrow a hole for the cameras and I was good to go, heres a pic if the case on my EVO.
