what kind of carpeting is it? do you have pads and cushioning underneathe it? i have seen and heard stories of people dropping on concrete and this not happening and only leaving with a small scratch.... but have been the luck of the fall for yours and hit in a weak spot.

Sorrty to hear that. I had my phone less then a day when A friend accidently knocked it out of my hand. I had not got a case yet, I was on my way to the sprint store. It bounced on concrete like a rubber ball. Only a tiny nick on two corners.

Not to call you a lier but i find it hard to believe you, i dropped mine (about 5ft) twice on concrete with it landing face first and my screen is perfect like new i do have a case but the screen is only about 1mm in.....
Im juat sayin
and how do weknow it was in fact 3ft or even if the screen craxed from being dropped....again im just saying.....
