I have a screen protector on mine. Sooner or later it's going to get scratched. The iphone supposedly has a scratch proof screen but my friend scratched his. The protector from sprint feels like the screen itself. I would recommend the one from sprint but it doesn't cover the whole front. I just ordered the whole protection package from stealthguards. It covers back, front, sides and top and bottom. Will be putting it on this weekend and posting a review on them. They are actually giving them away for free right now. You only pay shipping.

Here's the link if anyone is interested.

http://stealthguards.com/idevaffilia...ate.php?id=417

I also have a 40% off code from zagg.com. If anyone wants it here it is. It can only be used 3 times. So be fast. Enjoy!

Zagg code: zdp614dj

Re: Does the evo come with a screen protector?

When I was told that the EVO was scratch proof, I decided to conduct some tests of my own.
Tried scratching with fingernail. - failed.
Tried rubbing face on concrete. - scratched
Placed on 80 grit belt-sander. - scratched
Held up against chain saw. -scratched

Hoped that helped

Re: Does the evo come with a screen protector?

I thought about running mine over with a 400 lb load of bread. Second, third and finally fourth thoughts and decided if it did not pass the chain saw test, it sure would not pass the loaded bread test.

I swear you don't need a screen protector. Keep your money unless you are a careless person.

Even if your not careless you should still have a screen protector. Unless your perfect. Plus for 2.85 you can't go wrong on protecting your whole phone. Last time I checked the rest of the evo could be scratched. Having a full body protector wouldn't hurt.

i wonder if just the rubber slip on the back case is good enuff, since it does keep the screen off off surfaces it is set down on.....and mine does keep the camera from touching other surfaces

I've had a hybrid silicone plastic case on mine since I bought it and it does the job pretty good. I also have a sprint screen protector that I will be replacing with stealth shield to cover all the front. You can also just use an anti glare protector if you don't want a regular screen protector. It comes in the 3 pack sprint protectors.

Re: Does the evo come with a screen protector?

mine scratched the second day I had it, pulled it out of my pocket and noticed a .75 inch long scratch from the home key up. quite disappointed to say the least.

I also have lots of dust under my screen. I'm livid.
