Re: Is there an easy way to hit SEND when texting in landscape?

You guys should try Swype.. I felt the same way, extra steps are too much for us lazy americans. I text in profile mode with a visible send button. its way faster anyway.

I tried this, and it was really good, however I missed my direction pad/arrows.

I found myself in a few situations where I needed them. Hmm...

Yeah, but there is an option to make the volume rocker make the cursor go forward/backward. I am currently using this option.

I've noticed if you press enter, sometimes it will take you to the next field on the page.

I can confirm that that by setting the enter key for the "shortcut key to send" setting works well, but I have to hit the enter key twice.

I don't see any advantage to this. It's still an extra button press. What benefit is there to pressing menu send rather than hitting the hide keyboard button and then send?
...the onscreen KB takes up screen real estate, this is one of the downfalls of not having a hard qwerty.

The send button doesn't appear unless you have some text in the sms. try typing something, then hit menu, then send.

I find the menu button alot easier to hit quickly (and consistently) than the KB hide. I'd suggest that you install another KB app if this is really getting on your nerves.
