Re: Does your EVO get a 4G signal at home?

Im in Houston too in the Galleria area. I can never get a 4g signal inside my townhouse. I can get a weak signal on my patio but nothing special. Even when Im out and about I cant catch a signal indoors most of the time. I read somewhere that the spectrum they use doesnt penetrate objects very well. Like, most walls period. You gotta camp under a tower or be near a local repeater it seems.

4G is an emerging technology. I'm sure that within 12 months, the pocket of no signal where I live/work will be covered. More and more 4G towers will be added, which will make signal stronger everywhere. We evo purcharsers are beta testers for the 4G market. We are the pioneers for future generations. We will change lives!!!

Okay, enough of my motivational speech. Just be patient, and 4G will level out. Or, go back to your TP2, and wait for the 2nd generation of 4G phones to come out on Sprint.

For me, this thing is fantastic, even on *lowly* 3G. I couldn't possibly go back to my Hero. It's only going to get better from here.

Re: Does your EVO get a 4G signal at home?

the coverage map for my house reads "inbuilding" 4g, but no signal till i travel almost 1/2 mile from my house (joliet, IL) yet i am getting a good 4g signal as i am typing this from my room at the fairfield by mariott in kansas city, MO (no in building coverage according to the map).

i have a strong suspicion the coverage maps arent correct
