SMS notifiction (vibrate)

i have a custom ring tone for my sms, and i have the vibrate option turned on, but for some reason it wont vibrate on incoming msgs. how do i fix that? thanx

Messages>Menu>Settings>
Scroll all the way to the bottom and make sure Vibrate is checked.

not sure my notifications is set for custom notifications sound and it vibrates once at the begining.

do you have the notifications folder on the sd card?

i do have notification folder on sd card

Are you using handcent sms or chompsms or just the stock app?

so you have media/audio/ringtones - notifications

try a different audio file

I've noticed that when my phone is on vibarte, sms do not trigger a vibration. I end up missing a lot text messages. I have the vibrate option checked also.

I also have ringer profile combined with notifications
