I am not having this problem.. I am typing this post while my phone is laying on my bed with just my finger and using the stock HTC keyboard and the screen is extremely responsive

Re: {attempt} Official Screen Unresponsive Thread

I have the problem, though not as extreme as the incredible in the youtube video. It is very intermitant, but they sure fire way to notice it for me was with the unlock pattern when my phone locks. I set my phone on a cardboard box and tried to do the unlock pattern and it breaks connection sporadically causing the pattern to fail. I touch the side of the phone with my other hand and it works no problem. The only place I see this being a major issue for me is with the car mount when using this as a GPS.

Re: {attempt} Official Screen Unresponsive Thread

It only happens at the top of the screen for the EVO. I was able to recreate it, as well. Here is a video demo on engadget.

Re: {attempt} Official Screen Unresponsive Thread

I noticed I have this issue as well. But it only appears to effect the status bar. And only when I try to swipe the status bar towards the center of the screen. If I use the edges of the screen to swipe the status bar, it works as it should. Obviously, holding the phone will fix the screen.

Re: {attempt} Official Screen Unresponsive Thread

No issues on either of the two I have. You may just have a bum Evo. From reading this thread you probably want to change the first sentence of your original post to "A few of us have"

Re: {attempt} Official Screen Unresponsive Thread

I have a body glove case on it and I put it in my car phone holder all the time with no issues picking, flicking, selecting, and navigating menus whatsoever. I also can't replicate this issue on my couch, bed, floor, ceiling, and bath tub.

Re: {attempt} Official Screen Unresponsive Thread

HEREs an update... ITS NOT JUST THE TOP OF THE SCREEN... If you are experiencing this problem... Open up Spare Parts... And put it in landscape... now you will see the problem still applies to the notification bar... I assure it is not the notification bar tho... The edges of the whole screen, in any orientation... I have a video in another thread showing the problem ... lemme find it... though i did not doing sideways, if you do it you will see it too...
this only applies to those who actually have the ground problem
