I have this problem too. Though not really a problem. I mean it is a handheld...I have no problem holding the phone for it to function like its supposed too..in the hand...

I honestly have no idea why would you attempt to replicate the problem in those locations... in fact... you should not even take the phone there...

I have been addicted too the flight director game and I noticed it when playing with the phone on the table. I Went to the sprint store and he was having able to duplicate it and then he took my screen protector off and it went away.got home started playing the game and it does it again.pretty lame.might go back and get on the list for exchange.

No one from my end has complained about this issue... hmmm will start polling the Evo's I see in the store.

Gotta test it in multiple diverse locations to see if it's the environment actually causing the problem. But I assure you, there was no water in the bathtub.....

It happens on insulated material. I put it on the arm of my leather couch. the top half of the screen stops working if I am only using one hand. put other hand on it and it works fine. Replicated 100% of time on mattress and pillow. LAME!

There are many times when I want to use it while it is on the couch arm...get a text. I close the quick reply. I want to dismiss it by pulling down the taskbar...FAIL. Can't be done. I have to either pick it up or touch it with my other hand. Really.

See everybody, it could be worse... Your phone doesn't work when you aren't holding it (not something that happens all the time) The Iphone 4 won't work when you do touch it (something you really need to do to make calls)
