and mine just rebooted hah! - with always on network CHECKED
I'm sort of confused about your post, sorry. Mine was randomly rebooting whether I had GPS on or not. It would just be sitting there and bam, reboot. Or I could be using it and bam, reboot. My GPS does not seem to be an issue at all. It seems to be happening for different reasons for each of us. Unless there is some hidden thing that we all have in common and no one has figured out yet. This is all very strange.

Either way, these screen shots show how long it's been since I rebooted last:

Re: evo randomly rebooting

i just think if the gps system can not find a good connection or somehow freezes up - it reboots - other programs may use gps without us knowing.

just seems to be more gps app related reboot issues then others

Re: evo randomly rebooting

What I Did In ATK Was Hit Menu-Settings-Security Level-Low.

From There I Hit All System Running Apps/Plugins And Ignored.
I Ran ATK, No Issues Or Reboots In The Last 4 Days.....

Re: evo randomly rebooting

Ok the rebooting in now starting to annoy me... I am missing calls and emails due to it... Mine was rebootine roughly 3 to 6 times a day now it is up to 5 an hour!!...

I have removed the Task Killer App,
Shut off GPS
Shut off BT
Shut off WIFI
Shut off data always on
Shut off GPS location
Shut off Gtalk
and more!

However every 10ish minutes it reboots!!!!! but in the battery status menu it shows "UP TIME" as 6:51:09 and "AWAKE" 3:05:13

PLEASE HELP!! If this does not stop I will need to go backwards to my old TP2!

Re: evo randomly rebooting

Ok. I was having a reboot issue last week and have since done a hard reset. I didn't install any task killers and only 2 widgets. I have only used gps one time with google maps. I went four days or so without any reboots until today! It happened during a call for no apparent reason. I have no idea why it happens. Gps radio was turned off, no task killers, very few apps installed, factory ROM and I'm not rooted. I did everything by the book. Completely confused now.

Re: evo randomly rebooting

I got tired of the crashing, so instead of doing a hard reset, which would remove all my data anyway, I rooted, and flashed over to a new ROM. Zero issues since, and my battery life has gone WAY up.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Evo...SNAPPYDRAGON: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

Obviously there is waaaaay to much guessing going on here as to the cause. I dont use any task killers, bad for phone. So that is ruled out. I use google maps ALOT...Possible but I am not jumping on the speculation wagon. Has anyone made efforts to notify HTC or Sprint? My phone started the reboot sickness just today and all I have used is maps. So I remain in the dark as well here.

Re: evo randomly rebooting

Contacted htc about reboots and screen sensitivity. I guess enough people complained about the screen sensitivity that they decided to release a fix. Never heard anything back about reboots. One thing windows mobile taught me is that reboots are usually some sort of software problem. I think I'll root and try one of these custom ROMs. Sprints ROMs haven't been too good lately.
