if you're going to use the task killer go to settings, and change security level to low. go back to task killer and you will see something that says htc launcher or something like that. make sure you add that launcher program to the ignore list. after that is ignored change the security level back to medium or low. you may have to exit out of task killer before the security settings take effect.

Re: evo randomly rebooting

had one reboot in the middle of a call last night, then another in the middle of a call today. noticed that there were updates to 2 apps (pandora and shop savvy) I had on todays that weren't there before it rebooted. think I was playing with compass before last night's call, and savvy uses the gps too. doing a test now. played with compass, opened navigation, closed it, opened navigator, closed it, opened shop savvy, scanned a code, then closed it. gonna wait a bit and see it the phone will reboot after all that by itself.

Re: evo randomly rebooting

This happened to me when I was using Google Navigation. I arrived at my destination then I make a call, and right when I press call the phone rebooted! This hadn't happen to me before but it was weird. It did happen to me with my htc diamond while using google maps. Wonder if this has to do something with google navigation programs?!?!

Re: evo randomly rebooting

I hard reset and was able to use one gps app with no issues, also received a call and texts right after. Haven't tried to open any other gps apps yet though, kinda not wanting to see the results quite yet.

Re: evo randomly rebooting

I have experienced this issue as well. I think it revolves around the task killer as well.

I don't think it does, only because I have not had a task killer installed on my Evo at all. And I have experienced the issue. But a hard reset and it all seems to be ok now.

Re: evo randomly rebooting

2 days later, just now had another reboot. used 4 different gpscentric apps much earlier in the day. I'm actually wondering if it something to do with updates and autoreboots.
