so i posted on xda and no one answered i like this forum better anyway lol so when i access the camera sometimes my evo reboots when i access an app and the gps icon comes up sometimes it reboots any ideas??

There is another thread about reboots somewhere on this site, perhaps you can find some information there. I had a reboot last night though it has not repeated. I will try to find the link.

uninstalled atk still reboots, rebooted today when i was trying to answer a call. rebooted twice on GPS

I backed up my data, did a hard reset. Then let Android manage my apps and didn't use any task killers. The random resets stopped. Me and all of my friends that had problems with random resets all had task killers. Once we stopped using them, we no longer had these issues.

Mine rebooted no task killer no aps really at all downloaded just astro and shoot me plus a couple live wpps. Was listening to music player and had just dc my bt. I am rooted, rommed, and themed. Did not install fota update. Will let u know if I can logcat the issue, but only happened once.

I have a stone stock evo... Picked it up prior to my flight to the coast. I tried to open Google maps while lost in LA and it rebooted. Ever time I opend google maps or Sprint Nav it rebooted.

Sprint reflashed ?!?! my phone and reloaded everything and it works fine now.. Apperently it is a software glitch.

well this sucks... i was free of the reset problem for the last 4 or 5 days... all of a sudden, tonight it started resetting randomly every once in a while. i checked the battery info and the up time and awake time are the same even when i put the device to sleep. It was not like this for the past week or earlier today (check it all the time to see how my battery stats are).

After soft resets, it doesn't fix the problem. I haven't rooted using any method.... I haven't installed the task killer even once... only thing I did today was install apps from the market. I uninstalled all the ones I did today btw. Oh, and i installed the swype keyboard from the thread on here... i uninstalled that too. People with soft reset problems, have you installed swype?

edit: i see some mentioned they have shootme... i have this program too and one of the last things i did before i put my phone on the charger was use shoot me and i forgot to close it... i wonder if that could be the culprit?
