Yeah I changed it and even though it still shrinks it, its no way near as bad as the stock messaging app.

Been using both all night and I think I will actually stick with handcent, I do like it alot better. Also that quick reply box is pretty cool, with the stock app if I wasn't paying attention I would sometimes reply to the wrong person which has gotten me in trouble a few times already.
