3. Unrevoke the phone.
4. Install the wifi tether program.

O, duh. I missed the unrevoke step! DUH!
Im confused now.i rooted my phone toast method and running mikrom. Why do I have to do the unrevoke step if im already rooted? Im missing something here....i dont have the superuser screen like everyone is talking about

How can it be legal? I mean when Sprint charges this for $30 and you are getting it free?
I am never going to use it(Free tether). If I need then pay $30 and use the service from Sprint. I have no need of Hotspot though......

Sprint said they would not try to stop third party tether they said that their program was better and more trust worthy. Long story short they know and don't care that's why they charge an extra 10 dollars.

Re: Free WIFI tether works !!!!now with infrastructure mode.

CHOWDER, et. al.:

You just need to use unrevoked, else it doesn't work. Rooting it just ALLOWS you to go into Admin mode. However, unrevoked PUTS you into Admin mode.

SPRINTEVO:

Regarding using a free solution, every once in a while, I have to go on a road trip and need to use my computer. Why pay $30 a month for occaisonal use?

If I had to use my phone for some of the stuff I have to do on the ol' laptop, it would take me twice as long and I would seriously be wasting more bandwidth.

I bet most all the people on this site are paying for DSL or cable internet at home.

If Sprint really seriously had issue with it, they would lock it down like at&t does.

Now mind you, people who are tether hogs, they may ruin this perk and Sprint may choose to shut it down once and for all.

So, it's good that you don't need it, but what was the point in posting? To make yourself feel good at the expense of others while saying you don't even need the service?

If you want to understand something, just ask, but don't condemn people first.
