Do you think we will get the android 2.2?
I got my EVO early this afternoon and my boyfriend and I were talking about if sprint will release an update for it. I know the phone just came out lol but now that its out what are we in for? Do you think it will come later in the year, or not at all?

This has been discussed quite thoroughly. HTC announced that the Evo will definitely be getting 2.2. The Evo is a high priority as it's HTC's flagship phone at the moment. The only reason why it'll take a while is because Sprint is usually slow when it comes to giving out major updates. If it were completely up to HTC, we'd probably have an update by July.

I have never seen an official Sprint rom work as well as a custom rom so... Yeah we will have custom 2.2 roms very soon. Who cares what Sprint is doing.

Honestly I dont see myself going the custom rom route this time unless whatever rom it is comes 100% FULLY functional with no bugs. I love the stock rom right now and im really not going to sacrifice anything or any functions to get 2.2 at this point. I'm content...

I normally love custom roms, but I absolutely love sense and refuse to give it up. If a custom ROM has 2.2 and sense, then I'll consider it.
