Re: Playing movies on EVO

I had no problems viewing movies from the standard player that it comes with. I used some free video converter I found from google, "Any Video Converter" or whatever its called and then converted them to mp4 format. Then from my Evo I just selected the movie from its location using Astro file explorer.

Re: Playing movies on EVO

What about if you are trying to rip from a DVD? I use DVDFab but get no sound when it transfers to the Evo. I get sound playing it on my laptop.

Every movie I got on my evo I ripped from a dvd. Handbrake will do it for you but if the dvd is incrypted then you will need to use a decryptor like Anydvd which will automatically take care of the security on the dvd while handbrake rips it to your harddrive.

Re: Playing movies on EVO

I personally use Aimersoft to rip a DVD and convert to H.264 800x480, 2000kpbs, 160k audio and use original frame rate and the movies are phenomenal quality. They are a higher size but I use a 16gb sd card and generally only keep about 5 movies at a time on there. Average file size for my movies are about 1.5gb but WELL worth it when you see the quality!
