Playing movies on EVO
 

Just got my Evo and am trying to watch some movies using the video player. I can hear audio but can't see an image. I encoded my movies using handbrake. Anyone else having problems. Any suggestions? I encoded to MP4.

I tried viewing movies on mine as well. I tried an AVI and my phone wouldn't play the file even though it recognized it as a movie file in my file explorer.

I have about 12 movies loaded on my sd card. I havent had one single issue with movie play back, everything works great.

good topic. anyone recommend a player from android market? something like coreplayer. thanks.

Well first of all there is no substitute for coreplayer, that is the one program I will miss coming from winmo. As far as a media player from the market place I don't know and coreplayer suppose to be in the works for android. In any case, if you do it right your standard video player will work just fine with amazing quality.

I haven't had an problems playing my mp4 movies either.

Just finished encoding some videos myself using handbrake. plays great on the evo

What settings are you using in handbrake?
