the lack of a physical keyboard really made me cringe at first but after only 1 day I'm just about as fast with the landscape keyboard. Don't forget this thing has voice recognition also that works pretty well. Of course I wouldn't want to use that with people watching me.. i'm just too shy

make its noted and you should be set. I'm slowly getting used to using the on screen kb. if I have A long text to write I use it on landscape. I can type almost as fast as tp2 already.

Text input is a pretty big "1 thing"...especially when someone like me uses a "phone" primarily for texting/web/email.


OP--May need to give it a few days. I disliked the Hero for awhile but after I got used to the soft keyboard (Better Keyboard, btw) I've gotten over the lack of hard keys...

I would think you would definetly get your upgrade back.

The bad news is : if you were on SERO or other older plan, from what I've read, they will not let you have it back!

returning the Evo over the lack of physical keyboard when every other spec on it blows every other phone out of the water just doesnt even make sense.

I had a TP2, and in comparison its a piece of plastic sh!t!

Give it some time and when you get used to the touchscreen you will be just fine.

funny, I didn't have to get used to the hardware keyboard of my q9c or tp2. Some people just like real buttons when it comes to typing. For me, it is a deal breaker unless no other 4g phones come out with a keyboard in the next year.
