Yes you can make them note your account when you do.

Try swype before you return it. It works wonders!

the auto correct lets me go pretty fast on the software keyboard, but when I start typing quickly I end up losing letters because I guess it can't recognize all of the keystrokes when they come in so rapidly. Not sure if this is something that will be fixed in froyo or not, but it did slow me down slightly compared to my hardware keyboard on the TP2.

What I found to be helpful is to use predictive texting and auto correction. I can type just as fast on the portrait screen as I can w/the physical keyboard on my tp2. Sometimes the auto correction spells a wrong word but for the most part it's flawless. Might try to turn those settings on.

tried it. at times it made things smooth and at times not so much. im again using thick buttons but with those settings off n so far i am coping with slow data entry. im sitting poolside in my complex n ppl r staring at my phone like wtf is that thing. lol

1 thing is making you take it back? Seriously doesn't everything else that the phone offers outweight that one little thing...You do know it has tatile feedback right?

Stick with ShapeWriter... there is definitely a learning curve... but it does get much easier and faster!

I know you're trying shapewriter...but I say try swype too...I've tried both, and I find swype much easier to work with. I can type VERY VERY fast with it.
