Re: EVERYTHING EVO - Rooting | NAND | Flashing Roms | Wipe

It works very well for flashing. I used to use it for all flashing but now generally I am flashing multiple things in a row so I just boot to recovery manually and do everything myself.

Re: EVERYTHING EVO - Rooting | NAND | Flashing Roms | Wipe

I'm an Evo noob, and I'm having trouble flashing the warm 2.2 Rom. I've fully rooted my phone using Unrevoked. I've downloaded the zip file for the Rom I want to use to the root of my SD card. After performing a backup using ROM Manager and wiping the cached and data, I go into Recovery mode->Install zip from sdcard->choose zip from sdcard->and select the zip file.

Its finds the package, opens it, starts installing, but then aborts the update. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing anything wrong?

You are doing everything right just sounds like a bad download. Try downloading again and see if that fixes it.

Re: EVERYTHING EVO - Rooting | NAND | Flashing Roms | Wipe

I'm still having the same issue. I've downloaded another ROM, and I'm experiencing the "installation aborted" issue when trying to Flash using the CLockworkMod Revovery. Any tips?

I would also bring up the bootloader and make sure that it says S-off.

Re: EVERYTHING EVO - Rooting | NAND | Flashing Roms | Wipe

I finally got it working. The problem was when I downloaded the zip file of the ROM to my mac, the OS automatically unzipped the file. I compressed the file and then transferred it to my sd card. This slightly changed the file structure of the zip files so that it couldn't be flashed. When I downloaded the zip file directly to the card using my phone, I was able to Flash it.

Thanks for your help!

Glad you were able to figure out what was causing the problem. Didn't even think about what type of pc you are using.
