I have HBOOT 2.10 havent done gingerbread yet. Can i still root ? If i can which method should i use. The HBOOT 2.02 or ? Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Too late. It's already going on more than 2 months.
There are a lot of developers working on something, but nothing is available yet.

If you're not on HBOOT 2.16, you should be able to root.
Use unrevoked.com
Also, while you're at it, make sure you use Unrevoked Forever to turn S=OFF.

I just want to thank everyone who had a hand in all of this.

Everything went, and continues to go well.

Just a side note: If you read this first, before going to the xda dev site tutorial, I learned two important things.

1. During step six

Quote:

"(make sure you install recovery image when asked)"

this is done via Internet download so you need Internet access at the time of install.

2. During

Quote:

Step Two: Download and install HTC Drivers

install on the PC.

I know, I know, this seems obvious, but to a noob it will be a question, and as far as the Internet connection goes, I didn't have on at the time so I had to scramble to find a hotspot. Once I found one and re-executed the revolutionary exe it picked up right where it left off, downloaded and installed. So be connected...

well I followed everything for my 4g and installed a rom, but now it will not boot past htc evo 4g white screen. I even did the wipe again to try and fix errors. Can anyone help me? It seems to me that it was a bad rom and now I am unable to mount my sd card and usb is not working. Can I get some help here please?
