Havek if you're going from stock rooted 3.29 to stock rooted 3.30 then do as thecounty said. Put on root of sd card named as it was when you downloaded it. Boot into recovery and do a nand back (little insurance, you can always delete the backup later to save space) and then select install zip from sd card. No wipe needed, it will update you and leave all your apps and settings alone. Wont erase any sms or anything else.

I have 003. I got my phone about a month ago but it was from someone who bought it in august.. I used the UNREVOKED FOREVER thing and its been working fine!
HOWEVER I did it before the latest update came out and I use SPRINT LOVERS ROM and flash the updates... I dont install any OTA updates for the system Last edited by djqwikcut; 11-19-2010 at 12:44 PM.

Evo 4 g hardware version 004 hdboot 2.02
Can someone get me some info on rooting this thing i have tried the s-off method and every time i download the file it will not unrar crc errors in adkwin something can anyone tell me if there has been any progress or a fix for this! If someone has succeded please can you share your HBoot 2.02 S-OFF file cause like i said every time i download it it doesnt work!

Yes that is where i downloaded the file but it seems i cant get a good download everytime i download it i get a crc error in adkwin something when i try extracting it!

i have launch day stock evo running 2.1 1.32.651.6
im at section 2 version 2 step 2h but it is not asking me if i want to update its just sitting at the screen -FASTBOOT -RECOVERY -CLEAR STORAGE -SIMLOCK -HBOOT USB how should i proceed? eta: i just realized the files are not complete, so trying again.... cant flash back to stock
i have been having alot of problems with my evo as of late. the main problem that i have is the touch screen failing to work 70% of the time. but my phone is flashed to a custom rom therfore it is rooted. i want to revert back to stuck undoing the root. But when i try to flash using the RUU .
get to update part phone shuts off boots to htc logo splash computer displays cannot cannot error i have tried several times any suggestions?

Need help, how do I get the new OTA updates? Im Rooted using UnRevoked 3.21 forever, s-off, stock rom, software 3.29.651.5, Hardware 0003. Whats the easiest way?
