buttons not illuminated?

Playing with the EVO in the dark and noticed the 4 buttons are not illuminated. Am I the only one? My gf is sitting next to me with HTC Incredible which has the exact same buttons and hers are lit up nice and bright.

Re: buttons not illuminated?

Oh no. I hope there is a setting or some way to fix this. Spent almost 3 hours at radio shack today just trying to get this thing activated.

Try a "factory reset". I did one in the first couple days, I forget how, but it's in the manual, I think page 30 or so. I'm too buzzed to read that fine print right now, wait, amybe it's online, hold on...........

Re: buttons not illuminated?

Wait a minute. I only have this problem while the phone is charging. If I unplug it, turn the screen off and back on and unlock it they work. Wonder if this is how its supposed to be or if my EVO is messed up.

Re: buttons not illuminated?

Here you go, scroll down to "hard reset", and click on that and follow the steps:

Re: buttons not illuminated?

Ya had me worried for a second. I hadn't noticed the lights yet. All is well though.

Probably wasn't even something that the developers even thought about lol, it has no affect on anything. If it turns on when you unplug it then all is well.
