My Evo lights up and turns off without any issues. So far, so good (knock on wood!).

I'm trying to set up this experiment with controls... It's supposed to be done in a dark room for both light sensors and clear visibility.. so far there are three who say it stays on.

Re: buttons not illuminated?

The point is when I'm using my phone AND is plugged in and charging that probably means I'm in bed and its dark. The only way I can get the 4 buttons to light up is if I unplug the phone as I said on the op. Does anyone have their buttons light up in a dark room while the phone is charging?

I'm thinking this might be the case cause when I turned the screen off then on the buttons didn't glow, but when I turned the lights off in a dark room then did the same they did glow until I turned the screen off again.

Can you do me a huge favor and read the posts before this one? Because if you do all the questions have been answered, including the original one and the one you just asked. I am slightly frustrated so here it is:

NO MATTER WHAT, CHARGING OR NOT, ESPECIALLY IN A DARK ROOM, WHEN YOU ARE USING YOUR PHONE (IT'S NOT LOCKED) THE FOUR BUTTONS BECOME BACKLIT.

Re: buttons not illuminated?

Thats not the point that i was making, what I'm saying is that when your evo screen time's out or goes into standby mode or when u press the power button, not to power down but to turn the screen off. Every 1 try this out , go into your bathroom turn the lights off, place your evo on the sink in your hand where ever, wait until the device screen times out or goes into sleep mode, You will see those four buttons are lit just a little, very very dim, I would like to see how many evo's is experiencing this.
