Re: Radioshack Charge Activation fee?
I have received this information from two different reps in two different chat sessions..
06/03/2010 11:54:27AM Joe : "So maybe it is easiest if I allow radio shack activate it on 9663 then call or chat with you to do the swap?" 06/03/2010 11:55:38AM Agent (Deon K): "Yes, you can do this. You can get it activated at the radio shack and get to us and we will swap the phones for you." 06/03/2010 11:57:32AM Joe : "Then there won't be any additional charges? I am confused why radio shack does not follow this information you are providing. Are they losing something in this process?" 06/03/2010 11:58:25AM Agent (Deon K): "This process does not need any charges. This will be done free of cost for you." 06/03/2010 11:58:40AM Joe : "Ok." 06/03/2010 12:00:42PM Joe : "To recap and verify for sure let me summarize. I go to radio shack, purchase the evo and activate it on the 9663 number. Thank the guy, have a good day etc...I get home, call customer service or chat and provide the esn to move the evo to the 1315. Will I need the palm pre and it's esn to put it back on the 9663 once the evo is moved? 06/03/2010 12:02:11PM Agent (Deon K): "Yes. We would require the ESN's for both the phones to get the swap done. So please keep both the phones ready available with you . Not as simple as radio shack doing it on the spot, but better than waiting some BS time frame. I called two different radio shacks in my area...one said you gotta wait 2 weeks, the other said 30 days. Looks like the last time I will deal with these guys...geez! |
