Re: Evo Possibly Rooted already? UPDATED: EVO root Confirmed!
Wow this is certainly excellent news. I had very little doubt with some much focus and demand for this phone someone will the skills and time would root this phone very quicky!
Now for the TEthering! hope they get that working ASAP. I wont mind paying the extra 10$ a month for a service they dont even offer in miami but if i can tether for free (30$) 30-10= 20.. Im still saving 20$ =) |

Great News! I'm sure a Hotspot hack is around the corner.
I have to admit, I can't remember the last time I was this excited to get something.. |

Re: Evo Possibly Rooted already? UPDATED: EVO root Confirmed!
The hotspot "hack" will be wifitether, at least for a while. I don't see the official sprint program being used, as there is probably too much in the app that makes sprint aware of the app's usage. It will probably get uninstalled, and a completely separate app will be put in its place, that has very similar functionality.

I don't think you guys understand, once you have root access you don't need a wifi hack, all you have to do is install the app. If you install the app without root access it will say permissions denied. Now that we have root, the app will work.
