Dude... dont call regular Sprint customer service call this number. 1-888-876-8381.. I just called them again to verify and they said you can buy the phone outright from either a Sprint store, BB or RS and all you have to do is call this number and they will activate it no problems. This is the direct number for advantage accounts.. the regular Sprint reps will have no clue what they're talking about. He even went in depth explaining to me about the $10 plan increase.

Funny part is they actually told me im due for upgrade June 22nd... and said the EVO will be available on the advantage site the second week in July. So in essence what ill end up doing is buying it outright day 1... keeping it until my upgrade... upgrade for $199 and then just sell the one I bought outright.

can the everything data plus 500 which is 59.99 run the evo? are i have to change to a everything data 450 plan for 69.99?

Yeah, well if you can get it activated that would be freaking awesome. Just saying that I know our employee accounts can't have the EVO activated on it for 30 days or so. Yeap your right. It's funny how sprint does not give phones away no more hahaa. But they give jobs to dumb dumbs all day! With sprint you need to be your own rep or get twisted up...

Ok, just to clarify this whole thread, if you are on a SWAC account, meaning you are an Advantage Club Member through a Corporate Sprint Employee, which is a $20 plan with 500 mins, then you will have to wait until sometime in July to get it, if stock allows it. It may be pushed up, or it may be pushed back, it just depends on the stock that Sprint has. The same goes for Sprint Employees themselves, minus the ambassadors, which is one per Corporate location, or should be at least one. the SERO accounts are still up in the air for complete price clarifications, their hasn't been a final word on that yet. SWAC accounts and SERO accounts still pay the mail in rebates, making it $299 up front, with $100 MIR check, bringing the final price to $199, which I'm sure most of you all know this already. But given the popularity of the device and the amount of stock Sprint has will determine when the SWAC accounts can get the device. I do know that SERO accounts can get the phones at launch though, but as for plan pricing, that is still unknown as of right now to my knowledge. I don't believe 3rd party retailers, such as the Shack and Best Buy can sell to SWAC accounts either, but if they can, then their shouldn't be any reason why the phone won't be able to be activated. You may have to contact Customer Care to have the correct $10 Premium Data charge code added to your account first, but that would be the only reason that a SWAC member couldn't go buy the device at FULL PRICE from a 3rd party retailer. But SWAC accounts wanting the Upgrade Discounted Price will have to go through their SWAC Sprint Employee to get the phone ordered, and that will have you waiting for the go ahead from Sprint. Anymore questions?
