Just my 2 cents on rate plans - Page 2

I just wish they would let me stay on my family messaging plan and add something on for the extra data. When I switched to the family plan they let me add on my old data plan at $10 extra. I would be happy to pay more plus the $10 extra for the evo if I could keep my family on the cheaper plan. My family does not need the data and unfortunately I cant afford to separate the plans. I would like to have an evo but finances will not permit it.

Sprint is screwing their current customers. Period.

And for the record, I don't have SERO, and no discounts on my account. I have an everything family plan. My bill is over $200 per month.

Because I bought the most expensive smartphone Sprint had 6 months ago (4 of them) and put them on the current offered plan (which is still the current offered plan on the Sprint website). Forcing me to either pay $40 per month more than my current bill (when I supposedly bough the best of the best like 6 months ago) just to have a current smartphone, when I don't even have 4G in my area and I'm supposedly on a smartphone plan now, is totally screwing me.

I'll answer that question more in depth at another time. But the short answer is, if they wouldn't have put the stupid $10 fee on it, I would have already preordered my 4 on the first day they started taking preorders.

Ok, I am pretty sure that a few of you need to take a couple of minutes and read our site rules again. The talk in this thread went from the cost increase for the EVO to Sprint plans, and then somewhere it never needed to go. This site is to remain family friendly and comments like I removed from above were anything but that.

This is the only time I am going to say this, so please pay attention. Keep this thread on track of the OP's post and keep this, and every thread, free of comments like what I had to remove. If it isn't something that a younger adult should be reading than it shouldn't be here.

same here....I was offered a great deal in Jan. Everything Messaging Family w/ 4 lines, $20 credit for 24 months, and free data on all lines, plus I get a EVP discount. So it ended up being about $95 or so + tax.

So just to get EVO on my one line, it's jumping to about $130 + tax

oh well, the price of having the latest toys....

Okay, I'll clean it up... How's this?

People saying "the $10 fee is fine" makes me think about if you were to go, uh, camping, with a good friend. When you go to make dinner, you realize your friend has eaten all of your food. When you tell him that isn't cool, he just tells you to feel free to go camping with a different friend next time, because the other friend would have not only eaten your food, but also would have destroyed your tent.

The point is, Sprint isn't treating their current customers right. And it doesn't matter if it's better than AT&T or Verizon would treat us. We shouldn't have to worry about what AT&T or Verizon would do.
