http://community.sprint.com We can argue with you to we're all blue in the face, it doesn't change the fact that we really don't know for sure what the fee is. I can live with it, if I get the other perks I want for free, you however seem not able to. Why not take up this just fight with them directly? I fully understand your points and they are quite valid so why not start a thread over there and let us know the outcome? If someone just quotes jibberish then call them out in that thread itself. I mean if it bothers you this much, what do you have to lose?? |

they'd probably delete the thread...as they have the facebook posts that were negative |

Like I said a few times already (not sure if it was in this thread or others) but I read over on Sprint's message boards that they have a meeting scheduled for sometime this week to discuss this fee because of all the outrage. One of the options they are supposedly considering is giving the hotspot feature for free. |

Re: $10 is really bothering you? Check this out.
everything i said about rates on other carriers is fact.
now as for sprint, assuming the $10 charge is for 4g or its because the phone is just so awesome (because we know its not for subsidy because those purchasing the phone outright aren't exempt) either way, phones down the road are only going to get better and better, no manufacturer in their right mind is going to try launching a 3G only smartphone on sprint because why would anyone buy it. the Evo's start price of 200 is reasonable and is only going to go down when we get closer to Q4 so if a brand new phone launches with no 4G, why not just get the Evo? and its not like specs are going to back down, we're finally to a point where Snapdragon is so common a manufacturer isn't going to make a new phone without unless theyre trying to specifically target a budget market but then again the Evo will probably be 100/150 by Q4 and we know that there isn't going to be a single Wp7 device running anything less than Snapdragon, so hardware is essentially only going up so yeah i guess a lot of this and the last post were speculation but it all seems reasonable to me then again you didn't comment on argument just presentation, right ![]() but if anything i've said does seem unreasonable, make your case, i listen to arguments and if its a good one, i'll change my opinion Last edited by jbearamus; 05-18-2010 at 03:54 PM. |

Re: $10 is really bothering you? Check this out.
I'm not trying to be difficult so please don't take this as such but I agree that they are jacking up the rates because they can, not because they will lose money if they don't.
I just don't care about $10 especially when I know I'll rape them back in over usage! I've broken the TOS for free for over 7+ years now without penalty, I can give back $10 a month now to be more on the up and up. I started tethering with a Samsung A620 and haven't looked back yet. I can definitely understand if some of you were more "legal" then I and had to pay this overcharge for under usage, but shame on you for not being more informed with less morals. I will always make sure I get what I pay for and then some... |
