& for all the spineless out there, let the above be an example of how not to act if you are a slave to a handset : talk bad about the platform, network, fees, management - basically the entire company & then turnaround & still purchase the phone.

actually I WONT because 1. 4G is fast but its still not as fast as what I have at home, speed tests in Engadget's videos from the party in New York were showing 4.1Mbps tops, I'm running 15Mbps so why the hell would I use the mobile network? and 2. I find the experience of using forums from a mobile device to be obscene and I doubt the Evo would change that regardless of how well it can render the page

i usually wait for a computer to use any forum and its not just speed, i'm happy with my 3G speeds, its the actual using of the forum that i find unpleasant

well I kind of meant that sprint ONLY sold the EVO in the 4g regions and restricted you from buying it if you were not in a 4g region....and if you bought the phone in a 4g region and tried to activate in in the non-4g region, sprint would not let you do it....would it be better that way? of course not because there will be people happy to pay that extra 10 bucks to get the phone even though they are not in 4g zones. I live in Louisiana and we probably will be the last state to even get 4g...crap I don't even have 3g where I live but I still would love to get the phone even though I have to pay the extra 10 bucks...

Yeah, because forums have a LOT of HTML to parse and render. Almost unusable on a 528MHz CPU.

why? because you assume i'll use the web more just because its faster? 3G data speeds have never stopped me from using the internet on my phone, if i wanted to look up or do something i'll do it, i've never once said to myself i'll wait til i'm home, with the exception of using online forums, and that wasn't because of speed that was the usage and rendering of the webpage which you don't necessarily know the evo will do a better job of

And to all the real people out there, don;t let the above fanboy be an example of how you should act: never say anything whatsoever that could possibly be interpreted as a negative comment, otherwise you are spineless for not up and leaving them.

I just call it like I see it. Sprint isn't perfect, but that doesn't make me spineless for still having them. And only a narrow visioned fanboy would ever assume otherwise.

its funny you put it that way because i have a brother working for verizon and he likes to throw vzw's talking points at just to get a reaction but he can say whatever he wants, when it comes down to it, he preordered an evo
