Re: Why is android animation not up to WinMo caliber?
Sorry but I disagree. Animations on WinMo Touch flo are so much more refined and smoother. If you have both OSes give it a try and look for subtle things like how the animation comes to an end (mostly abruptly on android) not a smooth slow down like on WinMo. There are other things as well...
Does this mean I won't get the EVO? No. I am more ticked about the $10/month charge than this. It's just something that my son and I noticed when comparing our two phones. |

Re: Why is android animation not up to WinMo caliber?
Oh, I know what you're talking about now. That has nothing to do with the OS or the hardware. It's the coding that HTC has done. The reason it appears "smoother" on WinMo for you is just like you said, you think the Sense on Android is abrupt. But that's just how it was made. Personally, I like the abrupt, quick animations better because I feel like I'm waiting for WinMo to catch up when they are slowly smoothed. The Android Sense seems faster to me because of the abrupt nature.

I read some where that the flip clock on the android home screen doesn't really flip.

The Evo and HD2 are 60/40 identical...the share almost the same outer casing...the screen size is the same, and the battery is most likly the same. I've played with the HD2 and I have to tell you it's night and day difference with the processor and how Winmo runs on that device. Much more snappier... Take a look at this video via Android Central website forums...seems this guy was able to play with the Evo for a day..and people asked question to the guy...this is a demo of how some of the programs and phone react...
