I agree with that for sure. That is crazy.

Wow, how can I get on this advantage club plan? I'm currently on the $30 SERO, but this is cheaper, plus it will apparently let me use the EVO on it.

Re: Advantage club and the EVO

Ok maybe I was wrong... I just got this email back from the advantage people.

M,

Thank you for contacting the employee phone programs group. Yes, if you
would like purchase the EVO at the employee discounted pricing you will
need to wait until the device is available for employees. However, if
you are willing to pay full retail price you may purchase this device at
any retail location. The store will not be able to activate the device
you, but we can do that here if you would like. I apologize for any
confusion this question may have caused. If you have any other questions
or concerns please let us know.

Sincerely,
Steven T.

Basically someone that works for sprint has to set you up on one of their lines. Their line is free and they have 4 lines that they can give out under theirs that are $20 a month. I used to work for them and one of my friends thats still there set me up on hers.

What are the downsides to going with the Advantage Plan?

Re: Advantage club and the EVO

Really the ONLY one is you have to wait about a month or so after new phones come out to be able to upgrade. Advantage users have a totally different site than the sprint site that we have to use to change phones... and the new releases dont show up until weeks later. Aside from that.. a $27 dollar bill is pretty hard to beat. I get 500 min, free nights & weekends @ 7, unlimited mobile to mobile & data and text

So you can still have this plan even with the EVO?
What about the $10 fee?

Yes it is obvious you can get a phone at full price and activate it on advantage. You just don't qualify for any upgrade discounts and etc.

It has no downsides, this is a plan where a sprint employee takes the liability of the account. So if anything the person on the advantage plan does, the sprint employee is liable. You can't get on the plan unless a spritn employee completely trusts you.
