Re: Advantage club and the EVO

I would not pay $600 for it. I would just wait until July if thats the retail. If bb and RS stick to Sprint's $449 retail I would. Then if I cant activate it I would return it and wait. But I'm going to try a pre-order and see if I can get around that.

Re: Advantage club and the EVO

Yea bb pretty much always adds their own fees lol.. but ill follow this thread and see how it turns out. If you can get it for 449 and activate it ill definitely be following suit. Hell by the time they make phones available for us through upgrade its not even new anymore.

Re: Advantage club and the EVO

True lol I just hope bb doesn't do it this once! I'll let everyone know if I can get it as an upgrade though pre-order or if I can even get it at retail and activate it.

Re: Advantage club and the EVO

Yea see I just did a comparison on a few phones between bb and sprint retail prices just to check the differences.

Touch Pro 2

Sprint $449.99 retail
Best Buy $779.99 retail

Hero

Sprint $429.99 retail
Best Buy $599.99 retail

Blackberry 8350i

Sprint $399.99 retail
Best Buy $599.99 retail

So yea... you can pretty much be sure that its going to be $600+ through best buy going by these prices.

When you get it through bb if you use an upgrade or a new contract then you get it for the sprint retail price. BUT.. if you go there to buy it straight retail then they add their high fees onto it and make the phone super high. There is no way on earth they should be selling that phone for $699 retail when its less than $500 through sprint. Hell they still sell the touch pro 2 for $300 more than sprint does. $50 extra.. ok I could deal with that but they must be out of their minds with those retail prices.

Re: Advantage club and the EVO

It appears that Best Buy isn't living up to their name...
