Well, the 5-6 people that will be going to my RS for the EVO...will probably constitute 50% of their foot traffic for the day...so that's why they aren't opening at 6 lol.

corporate RS are opening at 6 and the franchise ones at their regular time (i think)

That makes more sense. Its too bad they don't all do something like that so everyone can get their Evo early.

Well there goes nothing, I just emailed my EVP Rep to cancel my pre-order. Now I'm gonna try my luck at getting my EVO at a Sprint store at 8am Friday morning, I guess I'll get there at 6am to be safe lmao. I just paid rent and a car payment so I need the phone billed to my account so that's why I'm not using RS or BB to get the phone cuz I'm not eligible for an upgrade.

Friend of mine said he had lunch with people who had their Evo from a Best Buy in NYC that handed them out early cause they knew the manager. Take that with a grain of salt .. if I don't see pics, I don't believe it. I'll be up bright and early Friday morning and waiting at the Sprint store. I even have the whole day off to play!

just got the phone with the RS store where i pre-ordered
my EVO and the manager there told me they were opening
at 6am and that they were offering a discount on accesories
in bundle packages of 15 percent. they are expecting heavy
traffic and already have extras.

Talked to my RS guy says my EVO is in the store. Says the price looks like $374 since I only qualify for $75 off. Says he will be in the store @ 8 am and has two pre-orders and I am one of them. Walk in walk out no hassel for $374. I hope any way.

I cancelled my EVP. I wasn't going to have $15 to have a phone overnighted Friday - Monday. Will try to hit up Walmart or a Sprint store tomorrow since I wont pay RS's $499 full price.

still nothing from EVP for me as well....im still not going to cancel just yet, in the case i cant get it from my sprint store for whatever reason, but hopefully ill be there before my order gets placed for EVP.
