Yea I went to Radio Shack today to pre-order as well. I was the 1st to do so. The guy hadn't even gone over the material of what to do yet. Thats a coincidence that the $449 is around what you pay for the phone with the $10 a month extra charge..

You will be paying the $10.00 no matter what if you have the phone. No matter if you buy it out right or with a contract.

I just called two local radio shacks and neither of them said they were offering the preorders for the Evo. guess I'll go to BB. they got their stuff together compared to the shack

yes thats obvious, sprint does not know where you bought the phone so as far as they are concerned you paid 199$ even if you paid full price. This is their way to subsidize the costs.

Aka if you look at it we brought this upon ourselves...there was always complaints how sprint phones are more expensive then verizon phones so they found a way to lower the initial cost by charging us for an addon that isn't really needed...

I called them back and told her about that, its on their website, and she still said they wont do it cause what if the phone doesn't show up in time and then I dont get it on the release day. I said anyone can use that excuse. she offered me to call back tomorrow to speak to her manager. lol

I just got back from The Shack and have my preorder receipt in hand. Unfortunately they are not doing preorders unless you are eligible for an upgrade or opening a new line... Luckily my Pops is hooking me up with his upgrade.
