Sprint Evo will not need $29.99 hot spot add on to access standard wifi
I'm looking at an unactivated Evo (meaning it doesn't have the 29.99 add on yet) and it is surfing the web off of wifi. I hope that clears it up.

I took the pic 45 min after playing with it. When we went to power it on we loaded to boot screen.

I think that most of the folks here with "common sense" pretty much knew that already even with crazy wording in the T&Cs.

well duh... i have unactiavted TP1s that i can turn wifi on an recieve a signal and browse on the TP... is that what you mean?? you have an EVO recieving wifi and browsing on the EVO?? if so, uhh, they all do that dont they

...also how/why do you have an EVO in hand???

I think he was clarifying about the paying $30 for the HotSpot or your wifi wouldn't work.
