Re: official evo 199 at sprint june 4 realese date!!!

Wow, major ripoff on all accounts.

30 bucks per month for the hotspot feature.
10/month premium over the everything data plan.

Worry-Free Pricing
HTC EVO 4G will be available in all Sprint retail channels, including Sprint.com and national retail partners, RadioShack, Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Sprint will price the award-winning device at $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate (taxes excluded) with a new line activation or eligible upgrade. Pre-registration is available now at www.sprint.com/evo.

In order to provide the best experience, HTC EVO 4G will use Sprint's industry-leading Everything Data or Business Advantage Messaging and Data plans that include unlimited Web, texting and calling on the Sprint Network to every mobile in America with Any Mobile, AnytimeSM. Everything Data plans start at $69.99 per month. A $10 per month Premium Data add-on will apply allowing customers to take advantage of a richer data experience than ever before.

Additionally, an optional pricing add-on will turn HTC EVO 4G into a mobile hotspot connecting up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as laptops, gaming devices and digital cameras, simultaneously at 4G speeds where available and at 3G speeds anywhere on the Sprint 3G network for just $29.99 per month - half the monthly cost of the current Mobile Broadband plan (pricing excludes surcharges and taxes).
Looks like the rumors where true about the extra fee for 4g. So said that they really are trying to squeeze a extra $40 all together for everything.

"A $10 per month Premium Data add-on will apply allowing customers to take advantage of a richer data experience than ever before." So All This is stating is that if you want 4g you will need to add this on? Just making sure thats how it is worded and hopefully will answer everyones else question about it. Thanks

Re: official evo 199 at sprint june 4 realese date!!!

That $10 extra per month really pisses me off. That takes me from borderline camping out to get the thing as soon as possible, to now I am debating not even getting it at all.

Paying $10 extra means T-Mobile without question has the cheapest option. Their HSPA+ is faster than Sprint's wimax, has a larger coverage area, and doesn't cost any extra per month.

That is very true. What gets me the most is how the man said that they were not going to charge a extra fee for 4g when the Evo was debuted.

This definitely doesnt help it compete with the Incredible either.

Re: official evo 199 at sprint june 4 realese date!!!

I am not even gonna lie, I am mad as hell right about now. All this bs about 4g being cheaper to provide and not gonna charge anything extra for the better experience? Thats $20 for me since I am getting two of them, well I get 25% off my bill so thats $15 but thats besides the point, sprint can never get it quite right.
