Backing up my contacts and appointments with Google

Thats exactly what we were talking about but for it work we also need to uncheck the calender as well. Not sure what would cause it to error out though, I know tasks aren't supported but there were problems with syncing the calender.

Catagories (in the contacts) don't sync either. At least not from WinMo.

Again, I am still learning about the google sync stuff but yeah I don't think you can do it the way you want. I guess you can only catagorize them after your contacts have been synced instead of during the process of actually syncing.

Not before syncing them you mean, lol. I'm not trying to catagorize them during syncing. I've had my contacts organized into catagories for years. Sync them with Google Sync, and no catagories on gmail.

I'm going to look for an exchange server that does it though. There just has to be a way to do this.
