Lol, most definately. Looks like the contest ends @ 11:59 EST tonite... I thought it ended @ midnight last night. Gonna give it another try, lol

So let me wrap my noodle around this.

1.) The "contest" ends today (may 9th) and the semi-finalists (who get an EVO?) are announced. (When are they told, and how many semi-finalists are there who will recieve an EVO?)

1.5) The semi-finalists get to use the EVO, and blog about their experience on a site provided by Sprint

2.) Then, they select from the semi-finalists the few lucky finalists (who get the trip to a 4G area), and notify them by May 18th via call/email.

3.) The rest of us unlucky masses have to wait until the release.

Sound about right?

SELECTION OF FINALISTS: The Contest Administrator will select four (4) Finalists form the ten (10) Semi-Finalists based upon the criteria set forth below:

Creativity - 20%
Originality - 20%
Propensity to Blog - 30%
Overall Entertainment Value of Submission - 30%

The Finalists will be notified on or about 5/18/2010 by phone and/or email. Finalists will be required to confirm their acceptance of the Official Rules and their agreement to participate in the Contest within twenty-four (24) hours of being notified. If Finalist fails to sign and return the aforementioned Affidavit/Release within the required time period, Finalist may be disqualified and an alternate Finalist may be selected in their place at the sole discretion of Sponsor.

They all win the phone its just 4 win a trip and then 1 wins money too

My essay was so good that I received an email telling me that I was a finalist BEFORE I sent my entry in. Then I woke up and realized that I had been dreaming... and for once it wasn't about Megan Fox...

Now thats its officially over...

How long were u guys essays? how many went for the Long winded approach? Begging apporach? Sympathetic appraoch? Humor approach? Fanboy approach? Etc...

I did mine in about 15 min and it met the minimum length requirement. lol.
I was thinkin they dont wanna long ass "evo d*ck riding" approach. so it was short in to the point with humor sprinkled in.

I figured these things are rigged anyways, and no local joe-schmo would win anyway.
just editors with hook ups and family or friends of the company.
But i entered so i could say "hell i tried"

what about you guys? care to share?

LOL...I had the same approach. Get to the minimum number of words and be done with it. I'm figuring they'll pick different demographics to hit as broad a consumer base as possible, so we'll see how it turns out. I really don't care if I win because I'll be getting the phone regardless. Interesting way to hit the masses though.

Wait, I thought the max was 150 words? Mine was full of jokes and was 150 words exactly. If 150 wasn't the maximum, what was the minimum and maximum number of words?
