Re: Windows Mobile on Evo?

Theres no "liability" or "legal" issue anywhere for DEVS, people using it would be the ones "liable" or "legally accountable"... just because I post the instructions online to clone a phone, doesnt make me "liable" for what YOU do with it... I can tell you how to make a bomb from household goods, YOUR the one who gets in trouble for trying out the application... I can tell you how to hotwire a car, but YOU get arrested if caught, not Me.... see the trend here??? DEVS are safe, users would need to beware... But theres no way for MS to find you..

MS would need to prove an end user was illegally using the License, then target end users 1 by 1 trying to make them stop... trying is the key word there..

Problem is people have no balls, and have little to no knowledge of their actual rights.... Its just like the Chevron Dev that made the WP7 unlocker... Whyd he take it down?? MS cant sue him for anything.. We're protected by law now(remember the Supreme Court ruling just a few months ago) for unlocking - but the Dev got scared anyways and complied with MS...

Years ago I wrote an interface that allowed my software to access Peachtree Accountant data. When I call them, to ask some technical questions, they threatened to sue me. Since i was not using one line of their code, I encouraged them to do so, telling them I would welcome the free advertizing.

So far WP7 looks cool and if they get the app support out there it may be an awesome phone, but only releasing it on GSM it doesn't give us Sprint and Verizon customers an option and I think most of the brain washed AT&T customers would stick with the Iphone than switch to Windows.

If you read the original post, the writer said NOTHING about wp7, rather, he mentioned wm6.5 I have to agree... only because I'm learning an new OS. If any of you have used the HTC Touch Pro2 then you know WM6.5.3.3 has few, if any (none that I've encountered) problems and is, for this user, much easier for me to sync all my live contacts (sure, I also copied those contacts to Yahoo & Google, but is it okay that someone PREFERS something other than what YOU prefer, people (not neccessarily directed at this writer). My TP2 got damaged, and was the same price as the Evo to replace through Sprint... so I went for the candybar style with zero moving parts, just felt more "solid".

Yeah, that's YOU, and that's YOUR preference... this should be about choices right, not a bunch of.... "Androids" following one another, with no direction. You think I want to convert all 1500 of my .lit books for andriod? you think I want to search for and install a new ereader? Same for my contacts: some of us are just comfortable, and feel no need to change, at the present... I don't even want to try WP7, I want wm6.5.3.3.... getting the idea?
