So how do we battery pull?
Being that we don't have a battery to conveniently (or unconveniently) pull to reset the phone...
Are we stuck holding the power button and hoping it restarts? What's the equivalent of doing so? I dug through the full user manual, located here: Link Didn't see anything too promising. I've got a support contact into HTC. They must be scratching their heads wondering what kind of a super geek they have encountered!

Re: So how do we battery pull?
I read somewhere to hold the power button for 10 secs.
also, anyone watch the One S teardown? the battery doesn't appear to be too hard to remove... HTC One S teardown leaves little to the imagination (video) -- Engadget

I will have to check it. So far, the battery life seems to be considerably better than my EVO 4g, but it is really too early to tell.

Here is the official answer:
Dear Jesse, Congratulations on your brand new HTC EVO 4G LTE! Wow, those were enough capital letters to justify the caps lock button on my keyboard. While we want the phone to be incredibly stable for you, in the event that it misbehaves we can reset the connection to your battery by holding down the power button for about 30-45 seconds. This would clear out any cobwebs that might have confused your phone and let you boot up fresh. Jesse, if you have any questions please let me know. Thank you for being a part of the HTC family! |
