Are you on Sero Premium? What department did you talk to that waived it for you?

Yes they sent me a Airave for free. I called up Sprint and stated I now have little to no signal, or I'm constantly roaming with the EVO 3d. They told me they have a device to help me with this issue called an Airave. He said hold on let me see if he could get it for free for you. Which he did, and when I login into my account under the Airave it shows Retentions free.

I'm Premeir Silver for a few more months. Got mine through chat. I had initially contacted them to help me with an ESN swap.

Only problem I had was battery life but now that is fixed. The signal on my evo 3d is less than 4g but I haven't had any dropped calls. Hope a fix comes out for those who are having problems. Just a reminder, sprint is still giving away airrave unit if you have bad signal.

Re: Problems... Dropped calls and no signal

Has anyone sent an e-mail to HTC tech support asking them about the issue?
HTC Mobile Phones - Customer Service - E-mail Support

I had this same issue years back when I bought a Sprint Diamond. I ended up buying a different phone as lots of others reported the same issue. I would be sitting at my desk on a clear day and it would go from 4 bars to no bars and back again - caused the battery to drain quickly.

No go on an Airave for me... yet...

I have an email into HTC. I also have a call into Sprint as well as a chat log with Sprint on the issue. They did some stuff in their system to see if it made it better. That didn't work. Now they want me to take the phone by a store to let them look at it and swap it out with a new one to see if the phone might be defective.

I'll stop by a Sprint store on my way home today and see what happens.

They had me do that before and it didn't work with my E4G.

Re: Problems... Dropped calls and no signal

I just got my 3D but experienced it last night. I went from 3-4 bars to none while in my bedroom. The sky was perfectly clear. I looked at my old HTC WM phone which was a sprint phone and it was staying steady at 3 bars. Within about 10 minutes or so it went back up to 3 bars. I had the Sprint Diamond and returned it for this same issue.
